Amanda Broke Her Leg
Poor Amanda, her knee sometimes doesn't like to cooperate with her, and one day a couple weeks
ago, it popped out of the socket, making her quite distressed for a few days. The boiz carried her out
to the car then took her to the hospital to get it fixed. I saw then carry her and thought they were just
foolin' around, but I was sadly mistaken when I saw them return and she was using crutches.
Amanda was not happy, but she is used to it since it happens to her every so often. Work was not
easy for her for a few days after that.

Fixin' da Hill
I managed to take a job on CampusHill helping the boiz fix everything up and get it cleaned up for the
students to arrive. I also took a job helping my own landlord with his apartments, including my own, so I
could get my rent caught up. I have been a busy camper for a few weeks now. CampusHill called me
because I did so well last year helping them, and I was happy to take the job. They also paid me very well,
and I needed the money badly. I got my fines and some back bills caught up with the money I made. The
summer break was greatly needed, but it was good to get back to work again. We managed to make out
goal of cleaning and painting the 54 apartments on the Hill before the students arrived. Some of the
rooms were very challenging, but others went easily. None of them seemed to deserve their security
deposits back. I am not sure why people bitch about not getting them when they leave the rooms in such
a mess. They also hired Sheldon, Will, and Josh to help in the affair. Ralph was our boss, and off we
went. The hill now looks better because of our efforts.

Went to the Chinese Buffet
As a celebration of my sobriety and as a repayment to my friends who have helped me for so long now in
cleaning up my life, I took Al, Vanessa, and Kat's families out to the Chinese buffet in Rome. It was a great
night out for us. Before that we went to the Dollar store and did some shopping, then it was off to Rome to
eat and eat. OMG the food is so good there. I got 3 plates, then I had two ice creams after that. Life was good
that night. I can't wait to do it again. It was $50 that I would have spent on drugs a year ago, so it was money
well spent in my book. Thank You guys for all your support in helping me get clean.

the Sign
This sign has captured my attention for a while now. We drive by it every time we go up to Group in
Syracuse. Al likes to go out Rt 20, then up Rt 81 to go to the VA hospital. It is a nice ride, and
sometimes we stop at the Diner in Nedrow on the way back. It, and this sign, are located on the
Onondaga Indian Reservation. Apparently, there is a little bit of political turmoil going on about the
leadership of the Nation. Sometimes the only way to let everyone know about things that are wrong,
is to write graffiti of this nature. I hope the right people manage to read it and get the problems taken
care of. Leadership is an important role in any group of people, and it needs to be manned by
respectable people. GO ONONDAGAS!

the Mudslide Apartments
We couldn't get the mudslide apartments ready for the year, but we sure did try. 2 years
ago mud came sloshing in through the back walls of two of the downstairs apartments
on 2nd tier, and they have been a nightmare ever since. This year, we had contractors
come in to work on the places, but they got shut down when it was found that no one
thought to get a permit to do the work, silly them. This is what they look like today,
maybe they will get finished someday.
Don Yuan's Apartment Today
I just wanted to make a special article about this apartment. Don Yuan's (32) was a special
apartment for us all last year. We all had some good memories there and managed to leave out
mark on the walls of the place. That wasn't so bad, cuz a little paint took care of the markings after the
year was done, but when they left, there was one last party that completely trashed the place.
Everyone thought they were getting back at George by throwing stuff into the walls, and breaking the
windows, and furniture. The sad reality is that us workers, and former partiers, had to clean up and fix
all that stuff. It was hard for Will and Josh to carry all the fucked up furniture up the stairs and out to
the dumpster, not to mention the fact that I got to clean up the floors and the puke. I am sorry, but if
you wanted to get back at George, there are far better ways of doing that then what y'allz done to us
guys. We didn't deserve it.
OMG!

Food Pantry
I took my last trip to the food pantry this summer just before the kids got back. Between
what I got, and what they brought with them, we sure got a lot of food in the house now. I
guess we certainly won't go hungry now. The food pantry is a wonderful thing for us poor
people. It helped me keep going through the summer. Thank You Community Action!
New Look for the Room
While I was cleaning up the apartment, I took advantage of the time and rearranged my
room. It looks completely dif
ferent, and everyone seems to like it. I borrowed the steam
cleaner from the Hill, and cleaned the floors while I was at it. The apartment looks and
smells waaaaay better. All the old puke and stuff is now off the rug, and life is better here.
I like the new room arrangement, it suits my purposes better and the door isn't in the way
anymore.
New Room-mates
The boiz are back! There is life in the house again, cuz my room mates moved back in
for the Fall semester. It was nice to have it quiet for a few weeks, but it is also nice to
have life here again. I love the youthful enthusiasm these guys have, it helps keep me
goin'. Everyone is psyched to be back too. This should be a great school year. I got a
good bunch of fellows to chill with now. We had a bit of a house warming party last
night, and today they are off to buy their books for the year. It was a little bit tough to
get the network set up, but now we all got fast Internet, and life couldn't be better!

the Big Order
Our first order for the Pizza shop was 19 pies! I guess it was for one of the dorms, or a
group at the college anyway, so that got us going in good style yesterday. Al is good at
making that many pies at once. We had them all ready for the prescribed time, and it
got us some money in the till. A good start to the year!
