You should have
heard me the other night when Matt set up his new Karaoke rig in the Club.
We have a rippin' good sound system so it sounded really good. It was late,
and the bar was
closed, but we wanted to set it up so we could get used
to it and get it ready for Karaoke night
in the future. Matt set me up
with some good songs that he knew I would do well at, and it was
a
blast. I don't sing very often anymore, so it is a treat to me when I do. Now
that I quit smoking,
I can really belt out the voice. In fact Liam
thought I was the voice track, which some of the
songs have, but Matt
turned me down to prove it was really me. I did, "Born on the Bayou",
"Desperado", "Time - Pink Floyd", and "Hotel California". All are very good
songs from "the
day". I have never sang "Born on the Bayou", and have
always wanted to try it. Signing with
the Kareoke tracks is like
singing for the best band I have ever had. I can't wait for the real
night so I can show off to everyone.
The pizza shop has
been really busy lately. I am not sure if it is all the improvements to our food
and service, or just the time of the year, but the income has almost
doubled and Matt is very
proud of me. I have instilled many changes
that have helped out service and food quality. I am
also very proud of
the work my crew is doing and how they have really buckled down to help
make our little shop a success. YAY PIZZA!
Levi was a crazy
maniac at doin' the dishes one night when he pitched in to help. It was during
one of our busy nights, so I made a funny vid of him doin' the dishes
with extreme prejudice.
He was promptly hired into the kitchen as a
paid helper. Go Levi!
Jeff and Margaret
saw fit to give me the best Christmas present I could ask for. I now
own an awesome old Buick :-). Now I will be able to get back on the road
again and see
a few old and new friends. I will also be able to go to
my appointments and shop when I
can. It will be great to be out on the
open road again. When tax time comes around I will
be getting
everything arranged so that I can drive again. Watch out world, cuz here I
come!
Changed the
Kitchen Around
|
Shawn and I have
been expanding our surroundings and making better use of the kitchen by
moving all the equiptment around. The kitchen looks completely different
now, and is much more
functional then it was before. Now making food
for everyone will be much easier.
An important rule in
our household is that you DON'T pass out on the couch with your shoes on.
If that happens the punishment is worse then death. Gerbs found that out
last weekend. He was
appropriately decorated with my markers and
learned a really important lesson. lol. I thought I
would share the
photos with ya.
I am really not sure
what these letters meant when I read them, but I felt it was important to get
the photo on-line for all to see. Where this rock is, a vicious armed
robbery occurred where they
beat the person very bad. There has been a
lot of crime of this nature in town this year. They
have got most of
the people involved, but there are still a few of them around, so be aware.
I
felt that this writing might have been related to the incidences of violence in
town, and that it
might have been a stab at aiming some good Carma
towards the bad by painting what might
mean "NO VIOLENCE". I strongly
believe that was the intent of the painter. I also believe that we
should all think of it that way anyway and hope that the violence around
town subsides before
anymore people get hurt. Come to this rock and say
a prayer for no more violence if ya can, or
just say it anyway.
Anything will help I am sure. Thanx!
