The New Flat
Now that everyone moved out, I got the new apartment to myself all summer. Some of the boys are
moving back in the fall, and some new people will be here too. I took advantage of the fact, and
cleaned up the place today. It will be nice to have a quiet spell for a few weeks. I haven't lived alone in
a long time, so the solace is greatly needed. Here are some quick pix of the new pad.

Aaron and Cotton's New Pad
Aaron had to get out of this house cuz his lease ran out, and Cotton had to get off the
Hill cuz he was sick of how run down it had gotten, so they both got a place behind the
flower shop down on the corner. It is in a quaint old brick building that has sat on that
corner for a long ass time. They are both happy with their new surroundings, and have
fixed it up kinda nice. Thus will start a whole new season of partying for them. They
plan to stay here for the summer. Aaron has graduated, but Cotton still has another
year left here, they have been friends for a long time now. Those guys have given me
the spirit I needed during my "down" year. They are the ones that sing really loud and
drunk when they have a party, and are seemingly happy all the time. That is what
Morrisville needs more of.....Good Spirit! Go Guys!

A College Student's Life
In the last days of school, it is hard not to celebrate. Most of my people are graduating and
going on their merry ways, and some will return. Either way it is a trying time full of good and
bad times, and it's share of stress. The last week is kind of a stress relief week for most of
them, including Carp. He is one of my roomies, who will be returning in the fall to finish
school. He got a little hammered up on the Hill on this night, but that didn't stop him from
playing his favorite video game, however I did find him passed out on the couch with the
game controller still in his hand, and the game just a goin'. I felt the need to document this
as a reminder of a time in life when the important things are simple, before it's work stress
and accounts and money money money, and hair loss.........Carp is an awesome guy that
will go far in life, but for now, it is the game that is important, and good times with his young
friends while they are still young. Go Carp!
Carps real name is Mike
Al's New Car
Al's van has finally died. So he got himself a new car to replace it with. It looks almost
the same, just smaller. It is as if he tried to wash the van and it shrunk. He is very happy
with the new vehicle since it gets 45 MPG CITY! He has been taking me to my jail terms
every week, and we will be going to Syracuse this week so I can have my "test". Not
many people have a boss like Al who believes in taking care of his people. Good luck
with the new car Al!

Got New Camera
My favorite present this year is a new digital camera. It is a Kodak C310, and it takes
pix that are remarkably clear. It tends to eat up the batteries, but it is worth it. I plan to
take a plethora of pix for the website with it. In fact, I already have. I have used the
same of orange cam I got from an old roommate back in 2002. Pictures from tha cam
will be all over the Internet forever. All my friends have pictures of themselves taken
with that old cam and have them posted. Now it will be a new beginning, and a new era
for picture taking by Dwayne. The Internet is clearly enriched by my pictures, and will
continue to be, as long as I have an Internet connection.

The Cactus Finally Bloomed!
After 5 years of owning this plant, among the other plants Amanda's Mom gave me
back then, the Christmas cactus finally bloomed. It has one purple flower on the end of
a branch. It looks really awesome. It started blooming when I moved to this apartment, I
am not sure if it is a sign from the Gods, or just the nature of the plant, but I am happy
either way. I love plants.

Got New Fan
My Mom sent me money for my birthday, and when ever I get money as a present, I
always try to spend it on something meaningful that will last me a while. So, I bought a
fan. The new apartment is kinda warm, being an upstairs apartment and all, so a fan is a
good thing to have to keep me cool while I sleep. I had a window fan, with two fans just a
buzzin', but it was so loud, I dreamed of airplanes all night. So, the new quieter model
was in order. Now I can sleep happy.
buuuuuuuuzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
the Garbage Cans
I became entirely sick of the stinky garbage cans that were at the bottom of the stairs
here at the new place. To make matters worse, the garbage guys never took our
garbage this week. There was prolly a truck parked in front of them when they came
through, or they were just too stinky for them, lol. Either way, I took the garbage out
back to the pizza-place dumpster, and then I left them outside for a night with their lids
off to air out. I thought I may have to hose them out, but the stink went away, and now
they sit back at the foot of the stairs, all ready to fill up again. Go Me!
ahhhhhh
the Trees
Speaking of flowers. Most of the planted trees in Morrisville are flowering trees in the
spring. We all look forward to them blooming in the spring, and the town wakes up to
their awesome beauty every year. I have taken pix of them before, but now with my new
cam, I can give them the justice they deserve. Another thing that makes Morrisville
simply awesome.

The Band Jamms Again!
I guess the band is gonna reform again. We will go on with just Dale, Matt and Me. We were the
heart of the band anyway. I got us all lined up to jamm at the club next week, but tomorrow we will
practice at Matt's house again. We will never speak of the member who isn't with us anymore, and
we will go on to play our really rockin' music together and keep the heart of Morrisville beating. I
guess nothing will take away our spirit of Rock and Roll.
