I am proud to
report the opening of Morrisville's newest dance club! My cousins Matt and
Shawn have worked hard for a long time to get it ready, and the
grand opening was last week. It has been a packed house ever
since. Country/Western seems to be the theme, but don't let THAT fool ya.
There is apt to be ANY type of music booming through their huge
sound system. They got Woofers under the floor, and speaker bins
mounted way up high also, not to mention a couple of Crown and Macintosh
Amps powering it all. There is a DJ booth, and stage, 3 TV's (one
of which is a projection screen), lights blinking everywhere,
even a smoke machine. The lights and disco ball are very impressive, not
to mention expensive. The dance floor is in a pit in front of the
stage. The bar is well stocked and as long as the building
(almost). There are two pool tables, a dart bored and quite a few tables
to sit at. With a shiny buffed floor to boot, it is very
impressive. Matt stocked it up with almost every kind of alcohol available, and a security cam system, that would make the Whitehouse
blush, to make sure the under-agers aren't drinking. There is a
top notch team of staff to provide drinks and security to all. You can go in if you are 18, but you can't drink (alcohol) until you are
21. Don't try a fake one cuz they are scanned. Swing on in and
check it out. I think you will enjoy it. Ladies always get in for free,
and events like Karaoke and Toga night are always going on. There
was even a live band already. So come on down to the Corral!

It happened! The
first snow in New York! I am happy to report that we have actually
had
about 3 different snow falls here. None of which have stuck for very long, but
the
flakes have been flying. I guess in Buffalo and up north the snow
has been pretty
major, but here it has been just flurries. Another
winter is upon us....2006.
I got a new pair of
pants last night. The old ones were getting rippy, and I already cut the
other pair into shorts, so I figured it was time. The funny thing was when
I saw a pair that was
more ripped then mine were for $50. I chose the
new looking ones that were only $15. They
look good and fit well. I
found out in the morning that they were button flies, but that was ok,
cuz I have had them before. A new pair of jeans is what I needed, and thanx
to WalMart, that's
what I got.
Me and my friend Kat
have been getting together late in the night and making treks to
WALMART! Walmart is a fun and wonderful world late at night. We are both
night
people and might find ourselves IM-ing and bored, so off to
Wally-World we go. We
mostly run around and find phallic stuff to make
fun of, or take pix of, but we do
manage to do some shopping also. I
found Ronald McDonald just sitting on a bench at
the McDonald's they
have that is usually closed, so we took pix sitting next to him. One
night Kat bought over $200 worth of groceries. The lights are so bright
that the freshly
buffed floors look like Heaven. We always makes sure
to hit the toy section to check
out the latest in toy technology. Our
favorite section lately has been the Halloween
Department where I just
had to buy a stuffed Raven. I always divert my eyes when we
go by the
chocolate cuz I will spend $50 there, lol. Then after the store we listen to her
satelite radio in the "Ghetto SUV" on the way home. Go WalMart!
A week after the
Club opened, the front door window found itself broken. I guess Josh
and a girl named Amanda found themselves wrestling around and when he put
her
down, she found herself ass first into the window. Thank God for
safety glass cuz she
would have gone right through otherwise. It is a
shame, but it was all in good fun, and
Josh is now the new owner of
part of the door, or at least he will be after it is fixed and
we send
him the bill, lol. The Club lives on.....
He worked and worked
on his new invention, then finally Ed found himself with a new
DDR
dance pad. DDR is short for "Dance-Dance Revolution", a new computer craze that
is sweeping the world today. The dance pad is a life size game
controller that you step
on. Right, Left, Forward, and Back are the 4
directional choices. I guess the game gives
you a number of dance moves
that you have to keep up with. Maybe there is more to it
then that, but
either way, you should see Ed do his moves on it. His legs get going
soooo fast that you can't even see them, like in the cartoons. Other people
have tried to
make one of these, but Ed is the only one who managed to
make the switches go on and
off. It must be a challenge to make one of
these. It was awesome to see him make it, not
to mention use it. Go
Ed!
Toga! Toga! It was
Toga night at the Club. Ya can't have a college bar without a Toga
night at least once in a while. Nikki, our prize bartender had the sexiest
one. The other
staff members just had to join in on the fun and made
quazy togas of their own. Even Ed,
who worked the pizza shop register that night had on his usual orange
apparel. Togas
are a wonderful way of life.
Lately, I have been
a social butterfly. I managed to get out last week and do some
apartment hopping around town. I had my laundry going and needed something
to do
while I waited, so I swung into Amanda's apartment in the blue
house near the post office.
We chilled there for a while, and those who
showed up were surprised to see me actually
out of my house. People
used to some see me all the time, so it is different for me to be
the
one getting out. Amanda's apartment is really nice, so I can see why everyone
goes
there to chill. The only odd thing about it was watching all those
guys kissing each other,
lol. Glad I don't do drugs any more. I think
they were just kidding around (let's hope). As I
was walking back to
the laundromat later, I was about to meet face to face with my old
girlfriend Mary, who went back to her ex again, and Amanda pops her head
out of
Brenda's apartment (over the barbershop) and yells: "I LOVE YOU
DWAYNE!", right on
time for Mary to hear it and get all jealous. She
was walking with her kid-lins and her ex. I
yelled back: "I LOVE YOU
TOO HUNNY!" It was one of those great moments in life. After I
folded
my laundry, I went right over to Brenda's to chill for a while. She also has a
really
nice place for her and her kid-lins. The next day, I went up to
see my old friend Cabbie,
and got the rest of my stuff out of his
house. My shelves and a few boxes of parts were
there for me, and I
sure did need them. He is doing well with his new job and isn't in town a
lot these days. His house sure was a mess, but that is cuz I am not there
to clean up like I
used to when I lived there. They miss me, but it was
better that I left to pursue new things
in my life. It was good to see
my old friends again. Amanda, Joey, Josh, and Gabe have
been coming
over almost every night to chill with me after work, if they aren't bummin'
pizza
slices off from me during work, lol. I love those guys. I was
even surprised with a visit from
my old friend Dan one night. We had a
lot of "catching up" to do. Robert and Officer swing
in almost every
day around 3 for coffee time these days also, so I am never very lonely
that is fer sure.
Me, Robert, and
Officer took our annual walk to the "Trippin' Tree" last week. It is a
wonderful walk that I try to take when ever I can. In an effort to get
Robert out of the house,
I dragged him along on one of my adventures. I
needed to take a good fall walk and gather
some colorful pictures along
the way to send to my friends from around the world. Officer
loved the
walk cuz she had a world of smells and sights to enjoy.
