Energy drinks have
been a big part of my life for quite a few months now, and don't let anyone
kid ya. They are a powerful and addictive DRUG! The impact on my emotional
well being, and
my heart has been very extreme. I was very tired and
cranky all the time, and almost lost my
job because of the arguments I
was getting into with Deanna, while she was hopped up on
them as well.
Now those days are done. It has been a couple weeks and I am much more
mellow and mature, and I have more energy then ever before. Energy drinks
are an unhealthy
SCAM bent on just making money for the soda companies
regardless of the health of the
individuals using them.
Morrisville has been
the scene of social violence too much lately. A group of Black people beat
up on a skinny White Gay kid a couple weeks ago, and were quite proud of
themselves. What
satisfaction they got out of it, I am not sure, but it
sure didn't accomplish anything. He was really
messed up, and had to
spend a couple days in the hospital. With violence like that happening in
Morrisville, the students are actually afraid to come downtown, and that is
putting a hurtin' on the
local businesses. I am even afraid to take my
late night walks in the fear that I might get hurt, or
have to hurt
someone to protect myself. Campus Hill has allowed a couple different groups of
kids to move in there and it has created a bad mix of violence this
year. The Bloods and the
D.O.E. Fraternity has been ruling and
clashing, not to mention running the drug scene in town.
Since then
Sheldon has been ejected from his position as the manager, but the bad kids
still
remain (at least until the police finally clean them out). I
think with Fred running the Hill, next year
will be an improved
situation as he will not allow the bad ass kids or drug runners to move in.
There are plenty of people around to rent those apartments, we sure don't
need them here.
Many of the drug related kids are failing college, but
staying in the complex because of the drug
money that keeps their rent
paid. The violence has been bad, but I foresee a better time ahead
as
the bad kids are "weeded" out.
Talking to Chris
and David
|
My Internet friends
are my best friends. They have gotten me through some rough and lonely
times when my local friends have failed me, and have been an inspiration to
me in many ways.
The open mindedness of those from other parts of the
world inspires me to be more the
person I want to be, and not the
person that I am expected to be by those around me. David
and Chris
were my first friends on MySpace, and have been my best friends. We have talked
a
lot as they have been going through high school, and now they are
about to graduate and
jump into the world. In them, I now have some
close friends for life. On my recent nights off, I
have managed to talk
to them on the Internet and on the phone. It is always awesome to talk to
your Internet friends on the phone. Then you have a chance to hear what
they really sound
like, and it brings you even closer. Me and David
have had some great conversations. He and
Chris plan to come meet me
someday when they can fly or drive to New York. I am looking
forward to
meeting them. They are a couple of awesome guys who have made my life much
better. Go Guys!
For the most part,
my probation period is finally over. The probation office sent the
release forms to the judge, and we are waiting for them to be signed. It
may take
another couple weeks since the court meets every two months,
but I am sure he will
sign and return them. My probation officer is
very proud of my progress in improving my
life. I am as well. I paid
all my fines, I went to all the drug rehabilitation meetings, went to
all the probation meetings, passed every piss test, and paid all my fines.
Now I can say
that it is all finally behind me. YAY! Today the State
Police came to get me to take some
finger prints. I guess they
misplaced them. That was exciting. I am looking forward to a
life of
freedom and being able to be more of a part of the bar. I plan to do some DJ
work
and have more of a presence in our wonderful dance club scene. The
D-Dubb is BACK!
Doughertys is
our local Pharmecy. Their little shop is
where I get my meds and little things like
office supplies, shoe
insoles, and vitamins. They have been in town for a couple generations,
and my friend Eric works there. He is a good kid who works there and at the
local library and is
doing well for himself even before he gets out of
high school. The old sign hung above the store
for many years, but was
broken one night by a drunken student and a rock, so they replaced it
with a new modern one. Doughertys is an important part of the Morrisville
experience.
The warm weather has
been hanging right in there this year. Last year was the same story. I was
able to take walks and sit outside all the way into November! I am glad of
it, but I will also be glad
to see the cooler weather when it gets
here. I hate the heat! But I do enjoy being out when it isn't
so bad.
The winter will increase the pizza business and I will prolly be spending more
time at the
computer. I have enjoyed many a good walk around town, to
the observatory, and to the great
Trippin' Tree. Morrisville is an
awesome place to be in the summer, and the winters are harsh.
The snow
is right around the corner, so get ready!
