I made a big
investment the other night. I bought some old computer gear from a couple
fellows I know. They got in with a dude who has a computer shop
himself and had an overage of equipment. He told them to sell
what they could to me, and they could split the money. After giving them
$100, I got a bunch of gear to work on and sell. I have already
put together one rig and sold it, and another to improve our
kitchen table rig. In the pack of stuff, there was a couple sound systems,
an old scanner, 4 towers, a few keyboards and mouses, and many
wires. I have been a happy computer geek ever since. The gear is
old, and some of it is kinda new, but I have managed to put together some
parts and make some good systems. The day before that, Robert
brought me a rig he had scored from some people who were moving.
It was almost brand new! I took out the hard drive for him, cuz that is
what he wanted, and proceeded to work on the rest of the rig. It
needs a new power supply, so it will be some time before I can
afford it, but it will be great to have a Pentium 4 equivalent again in
the house. I managed to get the old pix and stuff off from the
hard drive before I released it to Robert, and made a disk for
him to bring to the people he got it from. They were VERY happy to receive
it. I try to think of people when I can. Either way, the Lemon
Desk is back in business!

Carpy turned 21 the
other day. That is a great turning point for most college students
because that is when they can drink LEGALLY! Usually by that age, most
people are
tired of drinking, I know I was, lol. They had a nice party
for him at the local bar, and
Chris made him a nice cake. They were
gonna have a big blowout here, but me and
the landlords won't let them
have it. Oh well, he had a good time anyway. I told him
that I was 21,
21 years ago. Boy that really sux, lol. I am glad I made it to this age
though, cuz I am really havin' a good time with life these days. There is a
lot of stuff
behind me now, and all I have to do is enjoy my time, and
get my shit together for
retirement. Good thing I got another 21 years
til that. 21 seems to be the magical
number these days.
the Trippin' Tree
is Still There

Today, I took my
semi annual walk to the Trippin' Tree. The Trippin' Tree is a 100 year old
tree located on the top of the hill behind CampusHill. It is about a mile
walk up the hill to the
tree and a nice one besides. My walks give me
time to think about stuff and usually some
badly needed alone time.
Times like that I think about timely stuff, stuff from long ago, or what
might be bothering me today. I can sort out things in my head when I take
these walks. Today,
there wasn't really much to think about because
things are good for me these days. The Pizza
shop has given me a sense
of well being, and my clean (drug free) mind has given me a
chance to
actually enjoy that. My room mates have brought me a sort of family happiness,
and the money I have been making lately (and not spending on drugs) has
brought me a new
found financial stability I haven't had in most of my
life. Things and times are good for me
right now. Alright! :-)

Justin put a Gameboy
in the bathroom, so we could play games while goin' to the
shitter.
Good idea, until it came up missing. Joey, in his infinite wisdom, thought he
would be a prick, and stole it from us. He SAYS, that he took it as a
prank to me and
was gonna tell me that he sold it, however his little
plan backfired when Justin found out
through the grapevine that it was
him that took it. It wasn't long before it found its way
back to
Justin, now it isn't in the bathroom anymore. :-(
The club is growing
nearer and nearer to opening. We got the confirmation on the
liqueur
license just the other day and things are really coming together. Shawn is
installing cams all over for security, as I type, and the floor glistens
with a new wax shine
they created the other night. The guys used
stripper, then wax, and a big ol' buffer that
they got. No one wants to
walk on the floor now, cuz we are afraid we will screw it up, lol.
This
club is gonna be the classiest one in the county I am sure. I can only post one
pic
until we open, but this pic will give you an idea of how it shines.
We want to surprise
everyone when the grand opening happens. Then I
will be posting many pix of the joint.
It should be about 2 weeks til
we open.

Work has started on
what will become the biggest seller since "Forrust Gump". We are
writing the book about my life, prolly entitled: D-Dubb, lol. BLT's sis
Chris has taken the
challenge of writing the piece, and work has begun
on what will be a lot of taping of me
telling stories of my life.
Believe you and me, If ya don't know me very well, I DO have a
lot to
tell. I have done many things in my lifetime, clearly enough to fill a book.
Wish us
luck!

Our friend Joe saw
that I had an old Tracfone and that my power button was missing, so
he
decided to give me his old Tracfone so I could use parts from his to fix my own.
Tracfones come apart east, and in minutes I was up and running again
with, not only a
new power button, but a new face plate besides. His
was decorated with an American
flag scenario, so I just couldn't resist
using it. Now I have the AMERICAN phone! It is
working well with it's
new scheme and I can go to silent mode when I go to the hospital for
my
group meetings. I have been using this old phone since I wrecked my bicycle in
2002.
It just keeps on a goin' like the energizer bunny.
I worked and worked
on a new rig for Robert. There was a windows update challenge we
had to
overcome, and it takes time to reformat a rig anyway, but after all the struggle
he is
jammin' away on his new P3 700 mHz tower, and havin' a good time.
His videos are
improved, and he can surf the Internet with ease with
his new rig. I am sure it will inspire
some great creativity in the
different projects he has got going on in his computer world.
Go
Robert!
Among all the stuff
I bought from my buddies the other day was a flat screen monitor. It is an
oldie, but it is quite sizable anyway. There was no power cord to it, so I
quickly found one on
E-bay, and made my first E-bay purchase! When it
arrived the other day, I was like a kid on
Christmas day running all
the way home, to see if it was gonna work after all. It plugged in
and
turned right on! There were a few odd lines at first, as there is every time I
turn it on, but
they go away after the computer warms up, and it works
like a charm. I needed a flat screen
to give me more room on my little
desk. It is great to be, almost, back in the saddle again.
Now if I can
get the P4 tower working, I WILL be back in the saddle again. One more step
towards my recovery from the police action that happened to me last
year.
Many major changes
have been had on the hill these days. The biggest one to report is the
firing of GEORGE. The owner of the Hill showed up one day with the state
police and
George was officially served an eviction, and charges for
any number of crimes. They even
boarded up the door to the house from
the office. I and not sure who his replacement will be,
but you can
rest assured that there will be some Major changes happening there as time
rolls along. Otherwise, Sheldon has been promoted to the head maintenance
person, and
Ralph has been given less responsibility so he could
continue his full time job at the college
and do only the work
necessary to fulfill his rental agreement with the Hill. George was giving
him waaaaaay too much responsibility to handle with a full time job
besides. So far,
everyone is happy on the hill, except, of course,
George. But as he always said, "I will have
another job in one day".
......Maybe. All I can say is, "What goes around, comes around".
