See who's in trouble
The Diner wasn't so much fun this week. Stacy was tired so I got mad at her for slackin'. Kim got mad at me for being so picky, the customers were mad at all of us cuz of the messy tables. The tips sucked cuz of all of this. Amanda did well, we had a good tuesday together, made as many tips as we did sunday, with half the customers. Top notch sevice gets twice the tips, I always say. It was nice to have monday off for Memorial day. Those of us who worked sunday will get holiday pay on top of our regular pay. So I guess the diner isn't so bad this week, lol.
Billy and Scott Bring Stuff from Storage
In digging through my junk the other day, I located some posters I haven't had up for quite some time. So up on the wall they went. Thus beginning a short new decorating craze. It looks kinda cool around here now. The posters date back to my days at the Bullthistle Inn. Me and Billy lived upstairs and we worked the restaurant below. It was a really classy place.
New/Old Posters
You wouldn't believe it, but I fixed up the old guitar. I found some new/old strings for the guitar, and quickly got the windex out and cleaned it up. Before ya know it, the strings were on and in tune, and I was Jammin'. I also hooked up my old Peavy amp, my old monitor speaker, and a nice microphone, so I could really practice. I sang for 4 hours after that. After my voice got hoarse and My fingers got numb, I had to quit. "So if I get stoned and sing all night long, it's just a family tradition".
Practiced Guitar and Sang!
Billy and his friend Scott came through for me. They have a pickup truck, and they are helping me move my shit from Sherburne. The storage unit nightmare will be over soon. I gave them the key so they could just load it up, and not have to get me. That was a good idea I thought. It will save them many miles. I just hope they don't break nothin'. Today we got my old favorite chair a dresser and a few boxs of stuff. It is getting there.

It was my birthday last week, yes I am 39 now. I am an "old fart" now. But, to my Mom and my Sister I am still a kid, thank God, so they brought me some presents to make me feel better about it all. I got a badly needed pair of sneakers, and a planetarium kit. Now, at night, my room lights up with the stars and constellations. It is a neat toy for me. It will help me with my space exploration I will be doing with my telescope from last year. Be sure to visit my Spacepix page some time.

Seen Memorial Day Parade
I was having coffee on my obscure day off, the other day. Then I heard it, the sound of drums. It was Andrew and his friends warming up for the parade. They sounded full of pride as they got reafy for the show. When I heard the parade begin, I slipped out the door, and went down to the west end of the apts. and watched then march by on the streets below. They sounded like a band that has won prizes at competitions (like Sherburne Pagent of Bands). None the less, the lines were straight and the tunes were good. it was good to slaute the American flag as it passed by.

Matt G. Joins Marines
My friend Matt G. from the video store is taking after my footsteps and joining the US Marine Corps. in a couple of weeks. He will be playing in the band, after a short stay at Parris Island SC. for his basic training. When he is through there, he will go onto Virginia Beach to the Military School of Music. It is a 6 month cram corse in basic music performance. It will be a very good start towards college, and the rest of his life. I had a lot of fun in the Marines out west. We travelled all over the coast Playing concerts for all sorts of fine people. Matt came over for some motavational previews of life as a marine. We also tried on my old "blues" uniform. It was a good day for us. Good Luck Matt!
