Dan Died Today
It is a sad day today on the hill. Dan, our maintenance man, passed away. He has been a part of our lives here on
CampusHill for almost 4 years now. Dan was always nice to us when we went to get a parking permit, no matter how late it
was. He used to give us hell out his window when our parties got too loud. He kept the office in good order for Rose. Many
times have I paid my rent to him, or just went to "chew the fat" with him in front of the office on the nicer mornings. Dan lived
in one of the apartments down on the first tier with his teenage son Justin. All of us here know them and have shared life
experiences with them. Dan enjoyed his cigarettes. Unfortunately they were the death of him. Nicotine addiction is a terrible
thing. To have "that feeling" again is very important, if that is what you are used to. Nicotine is a drug much like Cocaine or
alcohol. The addiction is very strong, and like with Dan, even if your lungs are almost gone, you will find yourself saying YES
and smoking anyway. In fact, I can remember chillin' with Dan when he would have to take a break walking up the hill. He
would be carrying his oxygen tank in one hand and a cigarette in the other. I personally have had to deal with addiction as a
marijuana smoker. That and other lung abuses (kerosene heaters, and working environments etc....) have contributed to
my personal Lung disease. I am at the beginning stages, Dan was at the final stages. Fortunately for me, quitting
marijuana is a lot easier then cigarettes, so I may have a chance to heal before it takes me. Please, Please quit cigarettes if
you are a smoker, for DAN.
Dan was our friend. Dan Blasier Died: 3:15approx Oct 15, 2004.
Dan chillin' on a beautiful morning. He was watching them tear down the Mobile.
Mobile is Closed
Our Beloved Mobile-Mart is now CLOSED. We all centered our lives around the place. It was
the middle of "the bubble" we call Morrisville. I went to that store about 50 times a day for my
fountain sodas, and everything else I needed. The old Mobile was a renovated garage\ gas
station from the 50's. They turned it into a convenience store back in the 70's, when they
became the new fad. It, however, got to be too small for our modern needs, so they have torn
it down to build us a newer, bigger, SUPER MOBILE-MART.
workin' real hard, lol
Down Came the Diner
When I heard it happening out my window one morning, I had to go see it happen, and get some
pictures. I had already got to witness the Mobile-Mart being torn down. I knew, this time, it was the
DINER'S turn. I got there as they were about half way through it. It was hard for me to take the tearing
down of the old trailer part in the front where I used to cook. I cried as the walls came down. I right away
called Maggie, the old owner. She was in Pensylvania at the time. It was a moment in history for
Morrisville, and the end of an era for me. I loved my work at the diner. I was CHEF DWAYNE,
BREAKFAST CHEF, SAUTTERS DINER, MORRISVILLE, NY, RT 20 USA, 2001-2004.

Allysa Returns
Allysa has come back, again. This time she came here to be with Nick. So I
wasn't as heartbroke when she ended up in his arms, because she was here to
see him, and not me. We mended our problems and had a good weekend
together. After a couple days, she and Nick took off to his place for the rest of
October Break. It was a nice get away for them, and a nice quiet break for me. I
had a couple of nights to myself. All the students went home for the weekend, so
the Hill was quiet. Nick came back with some incredible pictures of his home
out south of Buffalo. Allysa really likes her new b/f Nick. They had a great
weekend together. I am glad me and her are friends again.

My Little Lappy
I traded a nice P-4 tower, and some parts, to Anthony for his old school laptop. Its a P-3 Rig,
with a lot of RAM. It works really good for what I need a lappy for. It is remarkably fast. The
battery has about an hour of life too. I am very happy with this righteous lappy.
Uno
The card game of the day: UNO. On one of my trips to Wal-Mart, I bought a deck of UNO
cards. UNO is a card game much like crazy eights. It hit America in the 70's, and everyone
loves it. The Cards give my friends a new past-time when they are here. We have had some
champion UNO games already. "Draw 4 Bitch!"
Nick Goes Shopping
Nick has done alot for this house already. He has decorated the place like nutz with beer and raceing stuff. I love it. I have
always loved lit beer signs. "Neon's a gas ya know." said Leon, from Leon's Neon. Last week he had Jamie take him to
Wal-Mart so he could get some more stuff for the house. He came back with a new vacuum, 50 rolls of toilet paper, and a
bunch of other necessities to tie him over for the semester. Our world is forever improving.
