Dan Was Our Friend
It all started about 4 years ago. Dan needed a new start, so Rose let him move to CampusHill to help out with the
maintenance duties. The Jones Boys used to bug him all the time until they got kicked off the hill. Dan brought his teenage
son Justin, whom all my young friends knew from school. Justin is good shit. He was always there to take care of his Dad
when he needed it. He also helped out alot here on CampusHill. Eventually, Dan took right over at the Office. He took the
rent, gave us our parking permits, and was always right there when we needed a faucet fixed, or if we needed to be quieted
down when the partys got loud. Dan and my old roomate Jon got along real well. There were a few nights when Dan would
hang out with us and have a beer and a cigarette. When ever Jon needed $5 for gas or something, Dan was always there to
help him out. As time went along, Dan's lungs were getting worse. There were many times when I would walk up the hill
with him while he would carry his oxygen tank, and have a cigarette. His addiction to cigarettes was strong. He must have
started smoking at an early age or something, because he just couldn't go a minute without "that feeling". He smoked right
up to his dying day. Eventually he contracted lung cancer. The cancer tore his lungs apart until they gave out one morning. It
wasn't an easy death either. He coughed out pieces of his heart and lungs, and in a desperate attempt to breath, he
managed to breath OUT all of his blood. It is not the way anyone wants to die, so scared and desperate, and so ill. I am
sorry to be so graphic, but I believe we all need to know this information, and hopefully it will motavate us all to stop
smoking, or to never smoke. Before the end, me and Dan hung out in front of the office and watched them tear down the
Mobile. It was a beautiful fall morning. as the sun shined down on us. It felt good. Dan was breathing in as much of the
fresh air as he could that morning. I think he knew the end was near. We spoke of some of the good times we had, and how
well Ralph will do as a helper. He related to me just how bad his condition was. By then Amy was hanging with us and she
helped brighten his morning. He smiled as I took his picture that day. It was probably his last good morning with us. Dan
was an awesome man. Dan Blasier passed away the next morning, October 15, 2004. He was only 50+ years old.

Electric Went Out
I got up early one morning last week, and wouldn't you know it, that was the morning the
electric decided to shut off. Jay spent the night, so we were kind of bored that morning. He
found a bee's nest to play with. I dug out my old battery radio. After a while we took a walk
around town. At least it was a nice day for us. The electric came back on by noon.
I Will Cook Again
I was offered to cook again. The Shamrock, or Coach's as it's called now, will be opening early so the
hunters can stop in to eat. The owner asked me, exclusively, to do the job. I will be waiting table, and
preparing your meals, just like I did at the Diner. I have alot of pride in my position as the Morrisville Grill
Chef. I will be glad to fill the seat again.
Got Cool New Lamp
I had to get this one. It was at Spencer's. That is a gift shoppe in the mall. For $10, I bought a
real groovy light. It's got lightning bolts going all the time in it. I always wanted one of those
lights, now I finally got one. Thank you Spencer's.

Been Making Movies
My hobby lately has been transferring old VHS tapes to computer files. I have wanted to do
this for a long time now. I finally have good enough equipment to be able to do it. My main
goal is to transfer my old band footage to download-able videos for the website. My old
friends will be so happy when they discover I have done this. I have got some rare footage of
my old bands from as far back as 1991. Ralph is even in one. He was much thinner then. I
have also been making copies of old episodes of "Hogans Heroes". That is an old TV show
from the 70's. I will be the first one to introduce that show to the shared folders for others to
enjoy. My old time movies are available for you in my
DOWNLOADS page. Feel free to look
at them. Dial-up downloads might be slow.
It's Time For Long Johns
It's some cold shit out there. When I went shopping the last time, I made sure
I bought some Long-Johns. I am the type that would rather put on a sweater,
and some long-johns then turn on the heat. I plan to turn that on in January, if I
can help it. Long-johns help take the bite out of life. I am comfortable when I
am wearing them, especially when I am outside. Get a set soon, so you are
not sorry this winter.

Almost Burnt Down the House
It smelled like "electric" in my room for days. I finally found out the cause. Every time Nick or I would walk into
the room we could smell it. I finally looked around and found out what had happened. I had a small fan in the
window to let out the summer heat, and it had fallen. It must have quickly been covered with some clothing
that fell upon it. It was getting mighty hot under all that. I caught it in the nick of time. It might have grown into a
real fire before not much longer. It pays to be safe. Always be careful with electric stuff.
A New Stewart's
What are they gonna put in the old Stewart's Building? That is the question of the day. Either way, they are
tearing out all of the insides, and they are gonna rebuild the walls to get ready for something new. The old
Dollar store didn't take very well, and found itself closing after a year. When my friends started tearing apart
the store, they had a few people asking about renting space there. I hope they let something cool go in. As the
construction continues across the street, they are keeping up with the pace of the improving scheme of
Morrisville.
The building is almost gutted. It was a Stewart's Shop, back in the day.
I Shot the Skunk
I had to shoot him. I am guilty. lol. I came out of Ralph's new place and out the
window was the skunk. Then it was the cat, and I said " Holy shit!" and ran up to
get the gun. Fortunately, the gun is a BB gun and not the 45 it looks like. I hit the
skunk right in the pooper, and it turned to charge me. then the Cat messed with
it, so it turned to charge at it. The cat managed to get sprayed. I did not. hehe. It
was an eventful night. Watch out for the crazy skunk on CampusHill.
Sammi's Damned Document
Sometimes I get upset. It is usually one of those on-going things that makes me that way. Printers have always had a way
of pissing me off. HP printers have a bad habit of spitting out papers with smiley faces all over them when it gets a glitch. I
used to suffer with it until all the files were printed, but anymore I send the unit out the door before one minute of it. So that
is what I did. No one could quite understand where all the anger came from all at once, so I carefully explained how things
can build up when you have been working on stuff for years. On going problems make a person go nutz. I didn't kick the
unit the other night, but I wanted to. I managed to get Sammi's document all printed, even if it took 30 minutes and not 1. I
finally decided, I am up to here with the old equipment, and I proceeded to throw out ALL my old computer towers and junk
parts. Now all I have is new. That is much better.
